Meetex - Croatian Meeting Experience Summit took place from March 12 to 14 in Zagreb. It is the only B2B gathering of congress and business tourism representatives in Croatia. The event attracts more than 100 congress industry professionals from all over the world, and the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Zagreb Tourist Board are the main partners of Meetex.

As part of this business event, over 1,200 one-on-one business meetings were arranged with domestic exhibitors and buyers from 19 countries, including Germany, France, Great Britain, and Poland, and guests from the USA, Canada, and China. Domestic exhibitors include representatives of agencies, tourist boards, congresses, boutique and luxury hotels, the event industry, and many other stakeholders in the business tourism industry.

This year's edition of Meetex emphasizes a more significant number of meetings and more intensive networking so that the participants can connect in the best way possible, make better contacts, and contract specific jobs. The business tourism segment is significant because it brings guests who spend several times more than vacation guests. In addition, they come outside the primary season, extending it in a high-quality way.

Before this year’s Meetex, the Croatian National Tourist Board, in cooperation with the tourist boards of the city of Split and the Split-Dalmatia County, organized an inspection trip for foreign buyers to get to know the Split area and its surroundings in more detail from March 10 to 12. Furthermore, after Meetex, from March 14 to 16, with the support of the CNTB and the tourist boards of Zagreb, Opatija, Kvarner, and Crkivenica, study trips to the mentioned destinations will be organized for foreign buyers, so international buyers, apart from Zagreb, will be able to get to know in more detail the offer of Kvarner cities.

In addition to Meetex, from March 11 to 13, the Croatian National Tourist Board also participated in the 20th anniversary MICE workshop of SMU International in New York. This elite event for North American buyers and organizers of meetings and travel incentives focused on marketing the program worldwide. More than 400 participants attended this business event, and with the exception of the Croatian National Tourist Board, the congress offer was also presented by TZG Zagreb and TZG Dubrovnik
