The altruistic character of the new promotional video of the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ), featuring world renowned athletes and artists, came to the fore during the days leading up to Christmas. Since the stars of the video agreed to participate in the filming without receiving financial compensation, thus showing not only great love towards their country but also their big heart, the Croatian Tourist Board has secured HRK 500,000.00 for charity. Each member of the video has the opportunity to donate HRK 50,000.00 on their own behalf and the true ambassadors of our country, who have already done this are Luka Modrić, Mario Mandžukić, Dejan Lovren, Dario Šarić and Maksim Mrvica.
Luka Modrić supported the Autism Association Zadar, Mario Mandžukić donated to the Association of persons with mental disabilities “Regoč” in Slavnoski Brod, Dejan Lovren to the Society for the improvement of the quality of life of poor children and orphans “Mali zmaj” in Zagreb, Maksim Mrvica donated to the Centre for education and care “Šubićevac” in Šibenik. Dario Šarić decided do share the sum of HRK 50,000.00 amongst several institutions – the Association for the blind of Šibeik-Knin County, the Association for helping children with learning disabilities “Izvor ljubavi”, the Association for helping individuals with disabilities “Aurora”, the Association for individuals with intellectual difficulties “Kamenčići”, the Rehabilitation centre “Roman obitelj”, and the Children’s home in Zagreb in Nazor street.
The entire project of the new promotional video of the Croatian Tourist Board was recognised by the Croatian Olympic Committee as well, which gave a special award during the award ceremony for “Veliki dan hrvatskog sporta” (Great Day of Croatian Sport) to the most successful promoters of Croatia in the world, the top athletes from the video, famous and renowned persons outside of Croatia – football players Luka Modrić, Ivan Rakitić, Mario Mandžukić, Mateo Kovačić, Dejan Lovren and to the basketball player Dario Šarić and the tennis player Marin Čilić. “Thank you once again to all participants in the video who waived their right to compensation and answered the call of the Croatian Tourist Board and recorded the most viewed promotional Croatian Tourist video of all time,” said the General Director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristijan Staničić stressing that he is immensely proud of the unity of the entire team which has enabled this project to be simultaneously very successful, but also, as the most important of all, that it has an altruistic character.
It should be recalled that the new promotional video of the Croatian Tourist Board was recorded on different recognisable Croatian locations with the goal of positioning Croatia on the international market, but also with the goal of promoting special forms of tourism, such as cultural and historical heritage, eno-gastronomy, active vacation, recreational boating, natural attractions and other segments of Croatian tourism. So far, only on the social network pages of the Croatian Tourist Board, already 7 million people have seen the new promotional video!
