Croatia graces the cover of the April issue of the renowned New York travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler, said Ina Rodin, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board representative office in the United States.
A photo of Lake Mir and the surrounding cliffs of Telašćica Bay is on the cover itself, while in the same issue one can find the article entitled Time and Tide where the beauty of the North Dalmatian coast and islands were described across a multi-page spread. Croatia is described in the article as "a country of extreme beauty and resilience, where sun-bleached islands smell of salt and sage, and limestone-paved cities proudly carry their history." Special emphasis is placed on the charm of sailing through the Kornati archipelago, but also on the beauty and historical significance of Zadar and Šibenik, which are located in the immediate vicinity.
"Americans eagerly await new trips to Croatia, which is confirmed by numerous direct inquiries and reservations through travel agents and numerous articles in prominent American media such as Conde Nast Traveler, Forbes, USA Today, The Washington Post, CNN Travel, Travel + Leisure, Departures, Lonely Planet and many others. We need to continue to build the image of a safe and responsible destination and clearly communicate information about the epidemiological situation, protocols in the country and the conditions for travel to Croatia", said Rodin.
Good announcements from the US market also come from American Airlines, which reports a large increase in travel bookings, and numbers are growing in line with the growing number of vaccinated population. Namely, at the moment, 90 percent of reservations are recorded compared to the pre-pandemic period, which is great news for the recovery of air traffic, reports the US edition of People magazine.
