Camp Čikat enters the 2018 tourist season richer with a new acknowledgement. Namely, Camp Čikat from the portfolio of camps of the Jadranka Company on the island of Lošinj is the first to be awarded the prestigious DCC Europapreis 2018 from the camping club DCC (Deutscher Camping Club), which has more than 100,000 members. The ceremonial presentation of the award was held as part of the Reise & Camping Fair in Essen, Germany.

The DCC Europapreis award is allocated by the largest association in Germany for the promotion of camping tourism since 1996, and the arrival of this acknowledgement is particularly important for Camp Čikat because with it has become one of only six camps in Croatia which have received this award. Camp Čikat is a winner of this year's award along with five camps from Austria, Germany and Spain, and the importance of this award is also signified by the fact that the awards were given out in the presence of the president of ADAC (the German Automobile Club) Stefan Thurn, the president of FICC (Fédération Internationale de Camping, Caravanning) João Alves Pereira, and the mayor of the city of Essen.

As noted by the DCC camping club, Camp Čikat was awarded because of its luxury offer and comprehensive entertainment’s programme, as well as the quality of its management, their openness to innovations and the timely recognition of guests’ wishes.
