The Croatian National Tourist Board is showcasing the entire Croatian tourism offer at the f.re.e fair in Munich, the largest international tourism fair in Bavaria, which takes place from 19th to 23rd February.

"At the f.re.e fair in Munich, we present Croatia as a destination that offers value for money, safety, variety of offers, but with a high quality service. German tourists still have a great desire to travel to other countries, and the largest number of German guests come to Croatia from the Bavarian market. In light of the latest research conducted, on the occasion of this fair, our country is in the Top 3 destinations that Bavarians plan to visit this year. Indications we received from Germany express great interest in Croatia, and presently, we are satisfied with the reservations, but we must continue to ensure we remain price competitive", said Minister of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina, who also visited the fair.

As part of this year's f.re.e. fair, 1,000 exhibitors from 50 countries are presenting their offer. The partner region is the Bayerischer Wald, a popular holiday region in Lower Bavaria. According to a survey conducted by f.re.e, 29% of Germans choose Bavaria as the most desirable destination for vacation and leisure, but yet still, Croatia is included in the TOP 3 countries for Bavarians to vacation, alongside Italy and Austria.

"Our country has a good position in the market, we are recognized as a quality tourist destination, which is why our guests are happy to return to us. In addition, one of our key priorities is sustainability, which is of a great importance for Germans when deciding where to travel. I believe that by participating in this fair, but also by continuing even stronger promotional activities, we will motivate Germans to visit our own hinterland in addition to coastal destinations, especially in the pre- and post-season. I am pleased that the feedback from our Bavarian partners is positive and I hope that the interest of Germans in travel will continue to grow despite all of the economic challenges," commented Nera Miličić, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board's Office in Munich.

During the fair, meetings were held with important partners such as Lufthansa, Dertour and I.D. Riva Tours, and the conversation was also held with the Bavarian Minister of Tourism, Michaela Kaniber. The Croatian stand was also visited by Vladimir Duvnjak, Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Munich. During the this tourist event, around 160,000 visitors are expected, having the opportunity to attend numerous presentations, stage performances and tastings through which they will get to know the diverse cultural-historical heritage and versatile food and wine from every part of Croatia.

In addition to the Croatian National Tourist Board as the main exhibitor, the Croatian stand also features 26 Croatian co-exhibitors, i.e. hoteliers, agencies, transport companies, but also tourist boards, including the Kvarner Tourist Board, the Istrian Tourist Board, the Split-Dalmatia Tourist Board, the Dubrovnik-Neretva Tourist Board, the Zadar Tourist Board, the Šibenik-Knin Tourist Board, the Lika-Senj Tourist Board, and more.
