The exclusive "4 Hands Dinner" was held last night in the Korak restaurant located in Plešivica, in the so-called the Croatian champagne region. This was an event organized by the Croatian National Tourist Board in cooperation with the regional tourist boards of Central Croatia and MICHELIN, the most renowned and widely acclaimed global restaurant guide, aiming to further promote the Croatian gastronomy and continental destinations. Bernard Korak, chef of the Korak restaurant, and Rudolf Štefan, chef of the Pelegrini restaurant in Šibenik, were in charge of a specialised epicurean experience. Both restaurants are proud holders of the MICHELIN star, which guarantees quality and excellence in food preparation, while the Korak restaurant is also the holder of the MICHELIN Green Star label.

"Croatian gastronomy is well recognized, which is why we continuously invest efforts in quality presentation of our cuisine to foreign as well as domestic audiences. In addition, the quality of wine and gastronomy in Croatia is one of the most important reasons for foreign tourists to visit our country. That's why we aim to improve promoting a wealth of our authentic cuisine, and we do this, through the organization of such exclusive events as the „4 Hands Dinner", said Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian National Tourist Board.

Among those gathered who enjoyed the gastronomic delicacies and culinary skills of our chefs, there were influencers specialized in travel and gastronomy from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium.

"I am extremely happy that we gathered in this wonderful family establishment that lives gastronomy in the full sense of the word. The MICHELIN guide confirms that we are on the right course and we can be proud that we received recognition. Through joint efforts we have the opportunity to spread our culinary story through events like this", pointed out Rudolf Štefan. Meanwhile, Bernard Korak noted that it was a great honour to host such distinguished guests and Chef Rudolf at his establishment. In addition, he emphasized he was extremely happy having an opportunity to organize such an exclusive dinner.

The menu included dishes from the local culinary scene, so the guests had an array of gourmet options to taste from ingredients such as: blacksmith fish, cuttlefish, lemon verbena, anchovies, clams, prawns, roasted goat meat, garden saffron and more.

"This evening under the stars resulted from our continuous effort to position the continent on the world's map, and I believe that all attendees now have unforgettable memories to cherish. Our destination is increasingly becoming synonymous with quality, passion and top-quality eno gastronomy," concluded Ivana Alilović, coordinator of the Central Croatia cluster and the director of Zagreb County Tourist Board, who is also the project holder on behalf of the cluster.

Croatia can be proud of one restaurant with two MICHELIN stars and 10 restaurants with one prestigious MICHELIN star, while 11 domestic restaurants carry the MICHELIN Bib Gourmand label, which is awarded to those who offer quality menus at affordable prices.
