The Croatian National Tourist Board launched cooperation with the world's leading travel platforms and specialized travel media Lonely Planet and Culture Trip, through which news about Croatian destinations and the tourist offer will be promoted on 8 European markets by the end of July.
“Cooperation with such important global travel platforms, which are followed by almost 20 million unique users on a monthly basis, is extremely important in the promotion of Croatian tourism and our destinations. In this way, we will gain additional visibility across key European markets, from which we expect the largest number of guests this year,” said CNTB Director Kristjan Staničić.
Cooperation with Lonely Planet covers the markets of the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium and France. The content will thematically include the culture and gastronomy of Slavonia and Baranja, Croatian nature parks and the offer of the island of Brač, and as the Zadar County Tourist Board is also involved in the cooperation, specially created contents on the topic of Zadar will be placed on the markets of the UK, Germany and Poland. Whereas, through the cooperation with Culture Trip, content on cycling, rural tourism, nautical and island hopping as well as guides through the cultural peculiarities of the Croatian coast will be promoted on the markets of the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France and Sweden.
Lonely Planet is a highly popular global travel platform visited by 11.5 million unique users per month, and their website records about 32 million monthly views. With more than 12.5 million followers on social media, they represent one of the most important travel media where users seek inspiration for travel.
Culture trip is also one of the most influential travel media with about 18 million unique users per month. It is a place where users seek inspiration for planning their travels and explore the facilities that each destination can offer. Their social networks are followed by about 8.1 million followers, and 81 percent of the audience is between the ages of 18 to 45 years old.
In addition to the placement of content, both collaborations include the placement of CNTB banners in order to provide interested readers with the opportunity to explore additional content on the website of the Croatian National Tourist Board Croatia.hr.
